This is the UN’s most important day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974 it is now global in reach with over 100 countries taking part.
As Catholics it is a an important day to take action, reflect and evaluate how we are living out the call to take care of Creation and to consider if we are consuming Earth’s goods greedily, or in proportion to our true needs.
