The Justice and Peace Office would like to acknowledge the land on which our offices are situated traditionally belonged to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

We would like to pay our respects to the traditional custodians’ spiritual relationship with this Country and recognise their customs, which have nurtured and are nurturing this land.

We acknowledge the descendants of the Gadigal and Wangal people who reside within the area, as well as all other Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people who have made Sydney their home. 

It is our hope that we may walk together along the path to reconciliation and grow to appreciate the spirit of the Country in our hearts; that we will love it and care for it like those whose home country it is and has been.
