Chris Meney is Chancellor of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and Director of the Life, Marriage and Family Centre, an agency of the Archdiocese dedicated to promoting marriage, family and the Gospel of life. Prior to joining the Archdiocese of Sydney, Chris taught secondary school students in both the Catholic and public sectors and served as Head of Religious Education at a Catholic independent boys’ school for six years. Earlier in his career, Chris was employed in the field of biomedical science and served as an officer in the Royal Australian Navy for 11 years. Chris holds degrees in Science, Arts and Education, as well as a Masters in Bioethics from the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family. He is married to Mary-Clare and they have been blessed with nine children.
