The Archdiocesan Social Justice Gathering:

“Caring for creation,

caring for our common home”

The Archdiocesan Social Justice Gathering will put parishes at the forefront of implementing the teaching of Pope Francis’ latest encyclical letter, Laudato Si’.

The Justice and Peace Office is inviting parishioners of all ages and walks of life to come along, explore ways to take Pope Francis’ teaching into our hearts and let it transform the way we live, work and worship.

…local individuals and groups can make a real difference. They are able to instil a greater sense of responsibility, a strong sense of community, a readiness to protect others, a spirit of creativity and a deep love for the land. They are also concerned about what they will eventually leave to their children and grandchildren.”  Laudato Si’, 179.

On the eve of World Environment Day, join the Archdiocesan community as we hear from experts and practitioners, enjoy some great food and workshops, and catch-up with parishioners from all over Sydney who are active in social justice.
