“FoodFaith’s “Planting Seeds” interfaith community garden is set to open on Wednesday March 9th 2016 at 11.30AM. The garden is located at Hughes Park at 304-314 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove.

The garden brings together Australia’s faiths and cultures to work alongside one another to learn more about one another’s backgrounds and to foster more sustainable ways of growing and consuming food.

FoodFaith is supported by Lane Cove Council, major organisations such as The National Council of Churches, Catholic Earthcare, Uniting Earthweb, Tzu Chi Buddhist organization, the Union for Progressive Judaism, The Hindu Council of Australia, the National Council of Churches, the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, Islamic Sciences & Research Academy Australia (ISRA), Aboriginal Heritage Office, Mirvac, The Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology, ARRCC [Australian Religious Response to Climate Change] and Meat Free Week.

There will be opportunities to plant, tend and sow seeds to generate food and wisdoms to share.
