Catholic preschools open doors to asylum seeker children

The Justice and Peace Office was pleased to be part of the initial delegation in September 2018 to the Mayor of Canterbury-Bankstown Council to seek fee-free places for early childhood education and care for the families seeking asylum living in Sydney. In October 2018 the Justice and Peace Office was delighted to be present at the one-year celebration of that initiative as well as being instrumental in arranging for Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services to provide some spaces in their centres for children seeking asylum from 2020 onwards.
